A big wine full of plum, smoke, violets, cherry jam, earth and mocha aromas. The palate is quite punchy with lots of tannins enveloping the raisin, red and dark fruit flavors. Excellent length and a decade of life ahead.
Food Pairing
Pairs wonderfully with rib-eye steak, lamb shank and roasted duck.

Gerovassiliou considered at the forefront of the Greek wine renaissance, is a pupil of the famed father of modern oenology Emile Peynaud. In 1981, urged by his love, knowledge and experience in vine-growing and fine wines, Vangelis Gerovassiliou began to renovate the family vineyard and created the Ktima Gerovassiliou. His vineyard of 72ha, on the slopes of Epanomi, is world-class. It is surrounded on three sides by the sea, which is four kilometres distant, while its west side faces Thermaic Gulf and Mount Olympus, and the beaches of Pieria.
